General Description:
  • Assembles electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, power supplies, and other electrical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Manufactures electronic/electrical circuitry, electronic components (PCB's), and wiring harnesses according to Manufacturing Orders (M.O.), Drawings, Engineering Changes, Technical Manuals, Customer Specifications, and Process of Instructions (P.I.).
  • Extensive cable harness build experience both crimp and solder
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Must be familiar with and understand J-STD, AS and MIL specifications as they relate to Defense/Aerospace requirements in PCBA and Harness build.
  • Procure the necessary tools, parts, and consumables for all assembly application to avoid loss or delay of production time.
  • Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners, for the particular run.  
  • Ability to develop constructive, goal driven relationships
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
  • Helps maintain workflow throughout manufacturing process
  • Helps assign work to operators
  • Assists management with manufacturing metrics

Work Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of defense/aerospace manufacturing experience required.
  • 6+ years of high reliability manufacturing experience is required.
  • Proven leadership experience is required.
  • Electronic test experience is desirable.
  • ESD, IPC620, JSTD-3 and 5-S training required.
  • Experienced in solder operations both PTH and SMT
  • Must be familiar with and understand J-STD, AS and MIL specifications as they relate to Defense/Aerospace requirements in PCBA and Harness build.
  • Will have superior knowledge of "build to print" operations.
  • Will have superior knowledge of all specifications required to produce products in a defense/aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Will be well versed in inspection techniques and specifications interpretation.
  • Will have extensive experience in harness fabrication and enclosure integration.
  • Will have the ability make process changes within the scope of procedures and policies to facilitate production goals.
  • Will have a working knowledge of "Lean 6-Sigma" methodology and be an effective problem solver.
  • 6-Sigma Green Belt training a plus.
  • Experienced in the operation of SMT placement equipment a plus.
  • SMT rework background and experience a plus.
  • General Computer skills.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
