GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

  • Project Manager supporting C-5 Alternate Modification Installation (AMI) in Waco, TX

DUTIES:

  • This position is a critical leadership function for Tyonek as we grow our C-5 business supporting customers within the Department of Defense as well as other federal agencies.
  • As the on-site leader of our C-5 AMI program, the Project Manager will:
  • Build and maintain deep, productive relationships with USAF leaders and organizations
  • Identify customer requirements and develop actionable solutions.
  • Understand and interpret Air Force technical orders, TCTOs, specifications and other documents
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors to ensure maximum effectiveness of team communications and seamless operations.
  • Be knowledgeable of the customer organization and community, with the ability to provide direction and meet requirements of the contract efforts.
  • Leverage experience in interfacing directly with government leaders and supported organizations
  • Supervise various task order activities, including subcontractor actions, in accordance with proven program management methodologies and within established procedures.
  • Provide supervision/management of activities and staff.
  • Identify and recommend objectives and scope of technical projects and communicate goals, scope, approach and schedules to assigned personnel.
  • Responsible for site-based project execution and coordination of contract and sub-contract personnel, as required, to ensure execution is in accordance with the cost/ schedule performance requirements.
  • Interface with customers on schedules, meetings, and issues.
  • Provides input that is used to establish budgets and forecast manpower.
  • Operate with considerable flexibility of methods as required to meet program goals.
  • Apply originality and initiative along with the ability to work under unusual or extreme pressures.
  • Knowledge of operations specific to contract, ensure compliance with GFR and local operational procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively at senior management levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage a large and diverse workforce.
  • Skilled in operations, logistics, and resource management.
  • Ability to respond rapidly to changing requirements, unexpected contingencies and challenging situations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to qualify for a US Secret Security clearance.
  • C-5 experience is a plus
  • Must have military depot level Aircraft Maintenance experience
  • Team lead and/or supervisory experience
  • 10 years' total experience in DoD assigned organizations, as military, Government civilian, or contractor.

  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.

  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
