General Description

Responsible for the development, maintenance, and integration of program plans and schedules to meet customer objectives

Duties

  • Developing, planning and maintaining detailed schedules 
  • Coordinating and consolidating schedules to ensure all detailed work plans are consistent with Contract scheduling policies and included in the Integrated Master Schedule 
  • Troubleshooting and monitoring potential scheduling problems 
  • Determining, monitoring and reviewing all project schedules to include resources, interdependences, and risk 
  • Providing input and recommendations to Program Managers and Senior Management regarding scheduling conflicts/ changes 
  • Maintaining accurate records/ paperwork 
  • Identifying major milestones, decision points, project lifecycle and other project events 
  • Reporting to Senior Management with schedule related status and reports 
  • Facilitating and participating in weekly program and schedule reviews Assisting in recording and tracking program review meeting minutes and action items 
  • Providing planning assistance to program managers as needed 
  • Working closely with other schedulers to develop scheduling policies and procedures 
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology and/or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of Scheduling and/or Project Management experience
  • 4 years of Microsoft Project experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Risk and Opportunity Analysis/Management, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS),
  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Deltek CostPoint experience a plus
  • PMI Project Scheduling Professional Certification (PMI-SP) a plus

  • Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.
