  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of a multi-network environment.


  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain fiber optic and copper network infrastructure.
  • Splice and terminate copper and fiber cables, using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect and test lines and cables, recording and analyzing test results, to assess transmission characteristics and locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Perform infrastructure and/or hardware maintenance actions.
  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. Conduct diagnostics to investigate and resolve provides through technical assistance and support
  • Assist in the development of training materials and train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
  • Coordinate with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
  • Create and maintain computer-aided drawings/diagrams of the operational network to include infrastructure, equipment rack location, wiring and patching systems.
  • Participate in the Configuration Management Board, notify COR/Government team lead of any changes to systems affecting security, monitor access control to recovery procedures and media, and perform audits of security records as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Associate's Degree, 4 years' experience and IAT Level I, OR
  • High School/GED, 7 years' experience and IAT Level I (or obtained with 120 days of hire)
  • Top Secret Clearance/SCI required

  • Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.
